The Mission Trip from July 17-23, 2022, to the Fr. Beiting Appalachian Mission Center, located in Louisa, Kentucky in the Appalachian Mountain Region is open to the parishioners of St. Matthias Parish.
Adults, college students, and 9-12 graders are invited to participate in this spiritually uplifting week and hard work in order to bring the presence of God the “kinfolk in Jesus” as Fr. Beiting would say.
The cost of the trip per person is $75 and the Fish Fry proceeds will help defray other costs, such as van rental, food, and gas. Some of the work that will be done is home repair, home visits, working in a small warehouse, and distribution of goods. Everyday starts with the celebration of Mass at Fr. Beiting’s parish of St. Jude in Louisa.
If you are an adult, college student or high school student interested in participating in this week of charitable loving service for the love of God from July 17-23, please contact Mary Ellen Phillips for more information at 412-884-8222, by Friday, June 3rd . The Mission Trip is led by Fr. Tom Lewandowski, Waynesburg University College Campus Ministry Chaplain.
